19 of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev won his first title for over two years with a win over opponent Moutet in the tournament title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has experienced a torrid period, managing just one win at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
The player's inconsistency on the ATP Tour - and struggles with his service game in particular - resulted in him dropping out of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with long-term trainer Gilles Cervara.
Currently working with Thomas Johansson and Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently improved in the last few weeks - culminating in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over challenger Moutet.
It is the player's initial title after the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface after spring of that year.
The win also indicates the Russian has secured 21 championships at 21 different tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a tournament with my children together, so to get a title is especially meaningful," stated world number 14 Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my younger daughter her name, because the first title I got when my older daughter Alisa was born was for her."
Medvedev, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six title deciders, comprising in that event previously this season.
The player's retrieving play style and recurring outbursts on the tennis court had led observers to question if his capacity to perform at the top level was finished.
Yet the player has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and compete aggressively, backed up by an enhanced serving game.
He came back from a deficit in the first set against the tricky Frenchman, securing 4 of the last five games to go ahead.
Both players swapped service breaks in the following set before Moutet, bidding for his maiden tour championship, gained dominance to push for a final set.
He rescued 4 early-game break points in a tight final set before the champion secured a break to that score to close out the victory.
Suitably, the winner secured the title with a point at the net, with his opponent incapable to handle a volley after over two and a half hours.
